Shipments at the Port of Los Angeles topped 700,000 units for the third consecutive month in September, but the volume of activity at the port fell below the prior year’s levels.
The Port of Los Angeles handled 710,892 units last month, a figure that signifies a 4.57 percent drop from September 2012’s volumes.
Imports to the Port of Los Angeles fell 3.75 percent year-over-year. Exports declined 12.79 percent.
